This project represents the culmination of six weeks of reporting, shooting, writing, editing, and producing by four Washington and Lee University journalism students enrolled in In-Depth Reporting during Spring 2008. Though each story has one byline, all stories represent the work of the four members of this group. We would like to thank Brian Richardson, Phylissa Mitchell, and the entire journalism faculty for their support and guidance with this project. We would also especially like to thank Michael Todd, Aaron Judell and Nicole Mooradian for their help building this Web site. Additional thanks to The News-Gazette, www.goshenvirginia.com, www.glasgowvirginia.com, and Damon Woody for use of their photographs.
