Schools respond
to proposed budget cuts
Rockbridge County and Lexington schools face approximately $1.2 million and $350,000 in budget cuts, respectively. The districts will make changes in personnel and salaries, and parents worry the cuts will affect their children's educations.
Money woes could put school's improvement

Maury River Middle School has improved its standardized test scores to meet state requirements. Now teachers and parents worry that budget cuts will also cut scores.
