Police release sketch of at-large predator

Lexington police have released a sketch of the man they believe has tried to lure preteen girls into his car recently.

Police believe the suspect was last seen Jan. 7 on Furrs Mill Road by a parent who was picking up her child from the school bus. On Dec. 12, a preteen girl was approached on Spotswood Drive near Stonewall Jackson Cemetery.

Eight days later, the man stopped two different girls on Lewis Street and offered them money to get into his car. The three girls who were approached in Lexington were walking home from Lylburn Downing Middle School. Several more Lylburn Downing students came forward saying that they had been approached by the same man.

Anyone who believes he or she has seen the man is asked to call Officer Nathan Kesterson or Investigator Mark Riley at 462-3705.
