Books missing on safe campus
Crime is out of the ordinary for Washington and Lee students, but recently some students have found their books are disappearing. Since W&L is known for its honor system, students usually don’t think twice about leaving their belongings unattended on campus. But after recent book thefts, Director of Public Safety Mike Young sent out an e-mail warning students and faculty to watch their books more closely and to not become a victim. Still, not all students are becoming more cautious. Students and campus security officers share their opinions. If you have been a victim of theft on campus, report your missing items to the Public Safety Department by calling 540-458-8999.
