Rockbridge Partnership head resigns Mike Webb, Executive Director of Rockbridge Partnership, resigned Feb. 25 after less than a year on the job. He has accepted a job closer to his family in Florence, Ala. Webb will leave his post on March 13. He joined the Partnership on March 17 of last year. “I thought he did a nice job in a short time in the region,” said Lexington City Manager Jon Ellestad. “It almost seems like he’s just barely gotten to know all the players in the area and he’s leaving .… That’s going to hurt.” The resignation came as a surprise to Partnership Chair Robert Lucas, who was scheduled to run a meeting of the Partnership Thursday at 5:45 to help plan for Webb’s departure. There’s been a lot of improvement in the last year of how he was handling himself in doing the job,” said Lucas. While the Partnership searches for a new executive director, County Administrator Claire Collins says that the county will reach out to developers, a role previously reserved for the Partnership. Webb could not be reached for comment.
