The Harlem Ambassadors' basketball team faced off against the local Rockbridge Dribblers Sunday night in a fundraiser for the Rockbridge Area Free Clinic.

The event, put together by the Free Clinic, the Rotary Club, and others, was designed to raise $12,500 to help open a dental clinic by the end of the year.

The national basketball stunt team showed up the local team as cheering fans looked on from full bleachers at Rockbridge County High School.

Chairman of the Free Clinic David Hanson said a lot of hours went into planning the event, but that the hard work seemed to be worth it.

Rotary Club President John Tucker said he thinks they may have gotten close to their $12,500 goal. Tickets were $8-10.
