EC elections a close race
Runoffs and absentees may make the difference

by TIM LIVINGSTON

W&L students had to vote twice this week to select second year law student Josh Payne as the next president of the Executive Committee, the school's student governing body. Monday's initial election was a race between three candidates, but the difference in votes for Payne and Junior Kirk Adamson was too close to declare a winner. The runoff election took place Wednesday, and Payne was announced as the winner Thursday morning.
