Lexington residents are invited to attend Monday's school board meeting to voice their opinions about the reconstruction site for Waddell Elementary School.
Three site plans have been proposed by the city. One plan would involve an expansion into neighboring Woods Creek Park, which some have complained would result in a loss of park space. The other two plans would involve the construction of a new school on the existing property.
Residents have raised concerns over how the construction could effect Woods Creek and traffic in the area. Some residents, concerned about the cost of a new building, hope that the Board will decide to renovate the existing building.
The meeting will be held on Monday at 6 p.m. in Waddell's multi-purpose room.
