Your turn to ask the
questions Citizen journalism is a new concept in covering the news--so new that the industry is still learning how to use it. The idea is that people in the community often know about issues and events the mainstream media may not be covering. So, citizens become the journalists and report these stories. Our initiative will give Rockbridge residents the opportunity to cover the stories important to them, with the help of W&L advanced journalism majors. Each producer is working with a citizen journalist this term to try this project out. If you would like to get involved, please contact Prof. Claudette Artwick via e-mail. This is your big chance to report stories that are important to you. |
