Bills may rise to repair water filtration system

The city of Buena Vista is considering a fee of $13 on each monthly water bill. The fee would cover the costs of a new filtration system for the Dickinson well, which is the city's largest water source, or a new water line that would be built by the Maury Service Authority. The Dickinson well was shut down in 2009, when the Virginia Health Department found it was contaminated.
