Stormy weather did not dampen the enthusiasm of antiwar demonstrators along Main Street Wednesday.  Rockbridge Response organized the group protest.  Members of the group believe that even though their numbers are small, they will make a difference.

Law school to offer unique curriculum

Washington and Lee's law school recently unveiled a dramatic revision of its curriculum. The students' third year will now be spent putting their studies to the test in practice. W&L will be the first law school in the country to overhaul its third year.

Supervisors ready rezoning proposal, set date for public hearing in May

The Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors will propose a zoning ordinance to the public on May 1. The ordinance could take effect as early as June.  The zoning plan defines separate agricultural, residential and commercial zones and calls for a "sliding scale" to control the size of subdivisions.
