The latest in living wills: how to avoid legal struggles

By Kaela Harmon

With all of the controversy surrounding the Terry Schiavo case more and more people are using living wills to put their own affairs in order.  Living wills are the most reliable way of legalizing your wishes and avoiding battles in court.  Here are several ways that you can secure a reliable will:

A living will designed by a non-profit company called Aging with Dignity.  Based out of Florida its will is recognized in 36 states.

Provides access to all of the legal documents necessary to procure and submit a living will in your state.

Contact your doctor or local hospital to find out what their procedures are.

You can also contact your attorney to have a will drafted.
