Local candidates speak out at forum

The seven candidates answered questions on a variety of themes, including downtown development and business growth.

All seven candidates running for office in Lexington played to a full house at the Rockbridge Regional Library on Tuesday. The candidates, including mayoral hopefuls Mary Harvey and Mimi Elrod, answered questions from the audience as well as making opening and closing statements. The forum was sponsered by the local chapter of the National Organization for Women.
