Waddell will not relocate

By Tim Livingston

After months of debate, the Lexington City Council voted not to move Waddell Elementary School from its current location. City officials still have not decided whether to build a new school on the site or renovate the current building. Council members considered other locations but decided that relocating would be costly and unnecessary.

Some local residents want to preserve Waddell Elementary School, but others say only a new building will serve the city's children.
