County schools may redraw districts

Rockbridge County school officials and parents might re-draw district boundaries to keep enrollment balanced at each of the five elementary schools. The school board is forming a parent advisory committee to hear from other parents.

Lexington begins curbside recycling

Lexington has partnered with two Buena Vista companies to start a curbside recycling program. Fuel costs and the salary of an employee to drive the truck are the city’s only expenses.  

Rasoul stumps in Lexington

Twenty-six-year-old Sam Rasoul is hoping to unseat Republican Incumbent Bob Goodlatte in the race for Virginia's 6th Congressional district seat. Rasoul stopped in Lexington recently, hoping to round up votes.
