County to look at policies

on troubled children

County officials are worried about a practice that sends some local troubled children out of the county for care. Rockbridge County has insufficient facilities for dealing with children facing disabilities and behavioral problems, and sending them to cities that do is the only option. But abuse has been reported at some facilities.

New plans for Courthouse Square?

Contractors are making plans to restore the Courthouse Square properties in downtown Lexington. The city and county are moving forward with negotiations with Dutch Inn, LLC after two years.

 

Rockbridge Partnership to continue

The Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to remain in the partnership.
