Worker falls to his death at VMI
A construction worker on the expanded barracks project at Virginia Military Institute fell to his death on Thursday, according to VMI Spokesman Lt. Col. Stewart MacInnis. Work on the project has been suspended, and an investigation is pending. The name of the worker has not been released.
While the cost of the new community indoor pool has more than doubled, aquatic director and swim coach Leslie Ayers isn't concerned about the increased expenses.
